I never get tired of stamping in purples, especially in a monochromatic layout like this one. I had, however, fallen out of love with Perfect Plum (who looked old and dusty next to some of the newer hues). Until the new ink pad. Wow. Remember, Perfect Plum is one of the five colors whose inks were reformulated for the new-style pads:
- Basic Black
- Basic Gray
- Marina Mist
- Perfect Plum
- Tempting Turquoise
I was willing to invest in a new pad to see how much the color changed. I wasn’t disappointed! It’s the same color as the card stock, but not the same color as my old pad. Goodbye!
I used the peacock feather for this design because I’m a bit unsure of how to color it. I searched for peacock feather images, so I understand the coloring, but I have to practice. So this was a quick compromise — but effective, I think.
