So, so bazaar

Debra Burgin 1206 Workshop #1Not that there’s anything wrong with that!  I’m seeing the motifs of Stampin’ Up!’s International Bazaar product suite everywhere.  (I posted on Facebook the other day that the current issue of The Cottage Journal has a table setting with the same feel to it as our Designer Series Paper.)  So when I placed my first order of the new catalog the other day, I had in mind a card something like this.  I wanted to accomplish several things:

  1. Play with colors and designs that are not my usual style
  2. See if the So Saffron pad in the new configuration lived up to my very high expectations (yes!!)
  3. Create a matchbook card, the cover tucked into the stapled “cuff” (a variation of the sticky note holder from the other day)

When I finally opened the box, some six hours after it was delivered, I resisted the impulse to play with every single brand-new item in the box and just started stamping.  (OK, I tried a few things that didn’t end up on this card!)  I like this card, do you?

Stamps:  Everything Eleanor (p. 112), Quint-Essential Flower (p. 110)

I’m not wild about the color combo, but I do love the So Saffron tone-on-tome background. Can’t wait to see the new pads!
