A rosy pocket

Debra Burgin 1206 CH Rose pocketThis is a simple but (IMHO) beautiful pocket card that can be made very easily as needed.  It brings to mind many women I have known:  my grandmother, acquaintances from past jobs, and current, steadfast friends.  The color — a 2012-2014 In Color — is the same used in my wedding.  Add a teal and you can pretty much guess the year we were married!*

I love this rose image; it would be stunning in black on Very Vanilla.  Don’t fuss over coloring if that’s not your strong point (yet!).  Go for the impact of texture, a monochromatic scheme, and the repetition of the scallops.  Done.
