Butterflies and Pearls

Debra Burgin Butterflies and pearlsThis is a closer look at one of my projects from last week’s Stampin’ Addicts Retiring Stamps Blog Hop.

I’m looking forward to seeing the new 2012-2013 In Colors, but I am still enjoying Wisteria Wonder!  I love having the In Colors for two years because I can try even more combinations when the new colors come out.  I’m not even sure what color I want or need — I’m just excited for a shakeup in my Stampin’ Up! color palette.

I got my Stamp-a-ma-jig out for this card.  I like 2-step stamping, and because I might be a little bit anal (I’ve heard it whispered), the SAMJ keeps everything neat and tidy.  Really, I can’t imagine putting the dotted border around the floral butterfly without it.

Stamps:  Flight of the Butterfly*

Ink/Color:  Elegant Eggplant

Paper:  Wisteria Wonder, Vellum Card Stock, Shimmery White, Elegant Eggplant

Other:  Smooch Spritz (Vanilla Shimmer), Stamp-a-ma-jig, Boho Blossoms Punch, Large Pearl Basic Jewel (from the Occasions Mini), Eyelet Border Punch*, Basic Pearls
