Really, really Super!

Debra Burgin Happy Hello CardThis “peekaboo” card was one of my designs for last weekend’s Super Saturday.  The die — originally in the Stampin’ Up! 2010 Holiday Mini Catalog, but still available — creates little lift-up windows in a variety of styles.  Here the window reveals a sassy frog (and there’s a matching one inside the card).

The stripes on the embossed Pool Party panel were accented with a direct-to-paper technique:  place the panel into the ink pad and use your finger to press each “debossed” (indented) stripe into the ink.

Super Saturday was exhausting for me, but so, so fun!  Especially satisfying was that half of the participants signed up to swap!  That’s never happened before; I heard the swaps were terrific.  I love what’s happening in our stamping community!

If you’re planning ahead, as I already am, Tina and I are scheduling our next Super Saturday for October 13.
