I have a running list of tips I want to share with you. I’ve had this one on the list for months. And why haven’t I posted about it? I had no idea what it meant!
And then it dawned on me, when I saw a stamper embossing an envelope flap. We do that a lot in stamp camp, especially if the card doesn’t have a image that works on an envelope. And at least once at every camp, somebody embosses the flap inside out. (The embossing is inside out, not the stamper.)
Now some embossing is two-sided: Stripes* and Houndstooth, for example. But for the others, you’ll probably want embossing rather than debossing — outies rather than innies. So just remember this simple tip:
- The embossing folder is face up
- The material to be embossed is face up inside the folder
- And away they go through the Big Shot!
