Oh! Snow!

Debra Burgin Lacy Medallion StockingYesterday was rainy, dreary, blustery.  And then:  SNOW!  Not enough to accumulate, and that’s a really good thing due to the amazing amount of leaves here that need to be dealt with.

I’m not ready for snow.  Although, actually, our mail-order boots did arrive yesterday, perhaps just in the Nick of time.  Unfortunately, they are, as far as I can see, identical.  I embellished mine with small painted hearts at the heel.

Speaking of boots — and stockings — I saw a Stampin’ Up! video showing how to make this lacy pleated medallion.  It starts with scored paper, as with the standard lolly, but then you punch the strip with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch.  The scoring and punching left the card stock very soft; next time I’ll try it with Designer Series Paper.  Very fun!
