Pool Party Smile

Debra Burgin 2011-07 Pool Party SmileYesterday afternoon — the perfect summer day — a group of stamper met in the studio here for a private stamp camp.  This was one of our cards, featuring Reinker Spread.  I wanted to use the technique with this stamp set when I first saw Flower Fest in the Summer Mini Catalog.  When the set made it into the “big catty,” I knew it was for me.

Although this flower is designed for the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, we cut it out by hand for a tighter trim.

Have you made this ruffled ribbon yet?  See my tutorial here.

I wish I could capture the color of Pool Party more accurately — it’s such a pretty color!

Stamps:  Flower Fest, Fabulous Phrases

Ink/Color:  VersaMark, Basic Black, Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill (Pool Party, River Rock, Lucky Limeade)

Paper:  Pool Party, Shimmery White, Sahara Sand, Specialty Designer Series Paper (First Edition), Very Vanilla

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Whisper White), Aqua Painter, Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon (Pear Pizzazz), Sticky Strip, Designer Buttons (Subtles), (Modern Label punch, Basic Pearls, Stampin’ Dimensionals

This is beautiful Debra! I love the soft colors and that pretty ribbon. I haven’t tried the reinker or pulled ribbon techniques, so I’ll have to give this a try. Sadly, I didn’t notice the seam binding ribbon offered in pear pizzazz either. It is gorgeous! I guess summer is just to busy to be as detailed oriented as normal. lol. Thanks for the inspiration today!
