Bugs for you

Debra Burgin Bugs for youOne of the things that happens in our area as the weather warms up is that certain bugs find their way into the house.  Or maybe they’re coming back to life, I don’t know, but I don’t care to find these Asian beetles on the floor and the windows.  They love the sun.  Call me heartless, but we kill them, specifically by trapping them in a piece of masking tape.  That way you don’t have to smoosh them (they stink) — they just, I don’t know, starve to death or something.  Worrying about the manner of their demise doesn’t keep me awake at night.

On the other hand, ladybugs are our friends, and the enemies of pests in the garden.  That’s what these are on this card (the Asian beetles are orange, not red).  I had to use this image on the Clearly For You set before it’s no longer available at the end of the month.

How is it possible that April is half over?  Can someone tell me?

I love that parade of lady bugs marching across your card!! So cute! Great card!

  3. So cute – love the wandering line (parade!) of lady bugs! They are so cute – unlike the “love bugs” we get all over the place here in central florida this time of year. They are annoying and everywhere!

  4. comment 2 – just saw the bottom line of punched vellum. What a nice touch! Subtle but so pretty!

Good idea about using tape to get them! We pick them up with a paper towel, but then I worry about them crawling out of the garbage. And yes, they stink if you squash them!

  6. I just love your wavy line of lady bugs! How fun!

So cute! Love the ladybug parade!

  8. I love ladybugs and too, have no hard feelings about the demise of an asian beetle. Great colors, great card!
