Transitions inside and out

1104 Debra Burgin Paisley Petals FlowerI’m happy to be able to see that my cyber woes seem solved.  Really, I hate to admit how dependent I am on technology — the Internet, specifically.  But we’re back to “normal” now.

And it’s finally spring!  I’ve been doing transition activities inside the house and out in the gardens.  It’s time for cold-weather clothing to be washed and packed away and my t-shirts and shorts to come out.  Hooray!  I have a bag for Goodwill at my side as I tidy up.

As a reward, I spent a fair amount of time holding tight to my 30%-off coupon as I browsed through Kohl’s this morning on My Day Off.  I did very well there!  But what I chose looks … well, it looks just like something I would wear.  Is that because I have a style of my own or because I’m in a rut?  Something to explore, both in the closet and in the stamp room.

Here’s a card from my April stamp camps.  It pretty simple (no stamping???!!!), relying on the drama of this fabulous Designer Series Paper and the textured flower.  This DSP is one of the specials this month — a pack that’s available for purchase this month with a minimum of $20 in additional product.  If you don’t snag this paper in April, you won’t see it again until the new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog is released July 1.  And who can wait that long?

Do you like that embossed strip of Baja Breeze … no, not card stock … it’s ribbon!  I’ll tell you next week how achieve perfect results with this technique.

Paper:  River Rock, Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper, Whisper White, Vellum Card Stock

Other:  1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon* (Baja Breeze), Fun Flowers Die*, 3/4″ Circle Punch, Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots and Finial Press embossing folders, Crystal Effects, Stampin’ Dimensionals

*Occasions Mini Catalog (only available through April 30!)
