I used my need for Easter invitations to create a postcard in My Digital Studio. It was so fast — of course, I didn’t fuss much with the details. I love using the digital stamps just as I would rubber stamps, turning and overlapping them when I repeat an image. Of course, with conventional stamping I can’t change the size like I can in MDS!
Originally I was going for a bunny theme (“hop” over — get it?). Did you know you can search for an object by key word in My Digital Studio? Doing that, I discovered that I only had one bunny stamp that wasn’t really what I wanted. These flowers are from Bliss.
After saving my work, I “shared” my page as a jpg file. I created a custom 4¼” x 5½” paper size in Word, then inserted the image and printed it onto the trimmed card stock (I had to adjust the margins for my printer). I know others create a full-size Word page that contains four postcards, but this seemed to be just as simple, and I didn’t have to worry about waste if I needed, say five or 13 invitations — not that I need that many invitations or want that many guests in our smallish house!
Love this program, and especially the free upgrade made available last week here. MDS will never take the place of stamps, ink and paper for me, but I can’t see myself returning to conventional scrapbooking, that’s for sure!
