Tuesday Tip: Sponge handles

Debra Burgin Easier spongingThis isn’t my invention, darn it — it’s a great tip!  Punch out a “handle” from card stock to identify the ink color to be used with that sponge and to provide a nifty grip.  I used the Round Tab punch and simply stapled it onto a wedge of a Stampin’ Sponge (I cut my sponges into 6 wedges).  No ink pad contamination, and your fingers stay clean, too!

I’ve seen nifty storage suggestions for these handled sponges, but I throw mine in a little drawer — the colored handles make it simple to find the right sponge to use.

Hahaha! I looked at the picture and my mind couldn’t immediately process what exactly my eyes were looking at. How dang clever are these!?! And until you pointed it out, I didn’t even notice your color tab clue!

A great little day brightening idea!

How about a weekly picture of PB?

  2. This is how I do my sponges also. I saw this idea last year on someone’s blog. I’m so anal I also label them with the color. It is a great idea and I wish I had thought of it too.
