TY Trio

Debra Burgin TY TrioTrendy Trees is a set I easily overlook — not because it’s insignificant, but because it’s in a small storage box in a drawer marked “Small Stamps” and I forget to look there!  Because we’re using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for a camp project this month, I wanted to make sure my instructions for its use were correct.  So I practiced several times using this set, and then ended up with pieces that begged to be made into cards.

There’s nothing really special about this group of cards except for the common focal point.  I do want to draw your attention to the one on the far left with that funky ribbon treatment.  I should be ashamed to even post it, but I’ll publicly confess that creating that shirred ribbon effect was beyond my skill level — until I learned the secret.  I’ll share that with you next Tuesday, but meanwhile come back tomorrow for the camp card that uses that ribbon treatment much more effectively!

I have to admit that I didn’t even notice that ribbon treatment until you pointed it out because I was so struck by the beautiful stamp in the corners of that card and the lovely color combo on it!

Love how you layered the oval and the scallop square!
