Debra Burgin Polished river stonesWhen I was cleaning up the studio after camp last week, I thought I’d use an extra, pre-cut panel of Glossy White card stock to experiment with polished stone again, this time using River Rock and Baja Breeze ink refills.  I was anticipating a watery, subtle feeling, and that’s just what resulted. along with plenty of shimmer.  This reminds me of a cocktail dress from the 60s!

Do you think the sentiment is too serious for a birthday card?  DH looked skeptical when I told him this is for his sister.  But he’s too nice to say anything, usually.  Why don’t I have very many grownup birthday stamps, I wonder?
