From the vault #2

Debra Burgin Archives 2What was I looking for as I was packing for Leadership last week?  I don’t remember (life before Leadership is a blur!), but somehow I ran across this card and threw it on my desk to blog about.  I distinctly remember the Sunday afternoon I made this at stamp camp.  I was a new stamper absolutely enthralled with the craft, placing orders left and right.  If you showed me something, I wanted it!

Aside from the execution issues on this card, it remains one of my favorites.  Of course I ordered the set of stippled stamps.  (I’m thinking they may have been Sell-A-Bration stamps — ?)  We used Stampin’ Pastels to tint the flower; notice how the stamp is repeated on the Mellow Moss panel.

I loved reading your comments about last week’s vault example.  What do you like or dislike about this one?

This a classic! I think black is always dramatic and in this case adds elegance. I also like the way the notch punch defines the first mat and then is repeated in the final frame of the stamped image. It’s a very beautiful card.

I have not ever seen this one. I think it is timeless. Still a beauty. I don’t think it needs any updating. 🙂
