Tuesday Tip: Clear block care

Some of my stampers have remarked that their clear-mount stamps don’t seem to cling consistently to the clear blocks.  That’s annoying, if you ink up the stamp and it drops off the block before you can stamp the image!

My experience is that when the acrylic blocks are dirty — with fingerprints from hand cream, for example, or just crafting grime — my stamps don’t want to cling.  My solution?  A quick wipe with an alcohol-soaked cotton ball.  This also removes any adhesive from the block, another issue when many hands are using a stamp at camp.

Crystal-clear blocks are a good thing, especially when they are then put away in their handy storage caddy!
