Hopes for a Peaceful Season

Debra Burgin 1011 Peace on EarthMaybe that’s far from your life right now, especially if you are part of the Black Friday madness!

This card was inspired by Ann Clemmer, one of the superstars of Stampin’ Up!  I was standing right next to her while waiting to enter the Main Stage at Convention this summer, but couldn’t bring myself to say anything.  Me, shy?  Yes!

I’m thinking this might be our Christmas card this year.  It’s not complicated (and actually could be simplified a bit), but it’s quite beautiful.  Of course, it requires a set that is only available with a qualifying workshop, but it’s a good exercise to look at a card and figure out how to recreate its essence using other images.

Just a reminder:  Heat images stamped with Craft ink to pop the color.

Here again we used the 5/8″ Satin Ribbon — seriously, are you in love with this, too?

Stamps:  Wonderfully Worn (p. 141), Peaceful Season (Holiday Mini)

Ink: Very Vanilla (Craft), Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry

Paper:  Pear Pizzazz, Very Vanilla, Old Olive

Other:  Heat Tool, 5/8″ Satin Ribbon (Rich Razzleberry), Crochet Trim (Victoria), Stampin’ Dimensionals
