Mixed ice pellets possible

Debra Burgin Snowflake pinsThat’s what the forecast was for yesterday, and on the way back from the nursing home, by golly, that’s what we got!  I thought we used to call that “sleet,” but whatever you call it, it was miserable — but it stopped by the time I got home.

Early this week my Stampin’ Addicts buddy Sara posted a bunch of charming holiday pins.  I was so smitten with her idea that I whipped up a couple of my own.  My only difficulty was that I have only a few stamps with holiday images small enough for these stones.  (She used Jolly Bingo Bits.)  Must buy more stamps!

If you try this at home, use Crystal Effects to attach the stone to the image.  It did cause my markers to bleed a tiny bit, but I’ll bet you can’t tell!  CE will affix the pins to the back, once I buy them, but magnets would be charming on these as well.

Stamps:  Season of Friendship (p. 120), Tags Til Christmas (Holiday Mini)

Ink:  Marina Mist, VersaMark, assorted Stampin’ Write Markers

Paper:  Whisper White, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy

Other:  Northern Frost die, Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (White and Iridescent Ice), 3/4″ and 1″ Circle punches, Crystal Effects, clear glass stones

Those are so cute!!! I guess I shouldn’t be complaining about our 80 degree weather, huh?

Those are too cute! After seeing your take on Sara’s creations, I guess I need to go to M’s and get some of those glass pebbles. BTW, I’d rather have your sleet than the 102 ° we had here yesterday.

Between you and Sara, I now have to buy some of those glass thingies….and see if I have any stamps small enough to use…. These are so stinkin’ cute!
Wow, you got snow before Brrrmidji, MN? ! What’s up with that?! I mean, we have Brrrmidji Polar Days festival in January and everything… I can’t complain about our weather. It has been 40-50° for a high most days lately, which is positively balmy 😉
