Autumn gift card tin

Debra Burgin Autumn GC holderI made this last week for someone’s special birthday.  It holds a gift card from her friend, another one of my stampers.  I started with a tin from a local store; I’m always looking to find ones that do not have a design on the side of the lid.  Then I cover the top (using Multipurpose Liquid Glue) and decorate to my heart’s content.  This one has a textured belly band.  There’s a plastic insert inside that holds a gift card perfectly.  Why give a plain gift card when you can alter a tin for something extra special?

(BTW, I have a Christmas version listed in my Etsy shop.  Check it out!)

Stamps:  Paisley Prints (Holiday Mini)

Ink:  Stampin’ Write Markers (assorted autumn colors)

Paper:  Patterns Designer Series Paper Pack (Regals — Always Artichoke), Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso

Other:  Finial Press embossing folder, Tasteful Trim die, Big Designer Button (Deck the Halls), 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Early Espresso)
