A “note” of thanks

Debra Burgin Note of ThanksI’ve wanted to make a paper rose with sheet music for a bit now.  I didn’t want to use actual sheet music, however (not that we don’t have a lot of it to spare here); I wanted to use the Music Notes wheel.  I should have used Crumb Cake on the flower, but the ink was packed away for camp last night.  You can find my tutorial for the rose here, but since it was published before the WordPress upgrade, the images are huge.  I wheeled the layers after they were split.

This design was inspired by a card from Sherri Barron.  It’s a great layout, one you can make over and over — never the same twice.

I have to say how great the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack is in this Stampin’ Up! catalog.  The prints are great, and with 4 sheets of two designs in 10 colors, I have a lot to work with.  I bought the Regals pack, and the colors are just wonderful.

Stamps:  Music Notes wheel, Thank You Kindly

Ink:  Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy

Paper:  More Mustard, Very Vanilla, Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (Regals — Not Quite Navy)

Other:  Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle #2 die, Metallic Brad (Antique Brass), Regals Designer Button (Cherry Cobbler), 1/2″ Stitched-Poly Ribbon (Poppy Parade)

Your rose is beautiful! I really like the button in the middle with the brad center. It really makes the flower the focal point of the card.

  4. Wow Deb this is just beautiful! I love your flower. I too purchased the Regal stack and just love it!!
