Pointsettia Spotlight

Debra Burgin 1009 Poinsettia SpotlightCindy E. inspired me with her spotlighting technique using this same set, Bells & Boughs.  For our September camps, I used essentially the same layout but changed the colors.  DH’s assessment?  “Shouldn’t that be red instead of pink?”  What about you — do you enjoy using non-traditional colors for the holidays?

Stamps:    Bells & Boughs (Holiday Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes (p. 157)

Ink:    StazOn Jet Black

Paper:    Pear Pizzazz, Regal Rose, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White

Other:    Big Shot, Final Press Embossing Folder, Aqua Painter, assorted Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Punches (1¼” Circle, 1⅜” Circle, Modern Label), 5/8″ Satin Ribbon (Pretty in Pink), Basic Pearls, Stampin’ Dimensionals

I love the technique but I also vote for red 🙂

They do breed pink poinsettas now and I actually prefer them to red! Stick with your own instincts Debra!
