Back to school, back to normal

I’m so glad the schools here are back in session; I was able to return excess birthday party items at WalMart yesterday morning in relative tranquility!  And I love the sound of the bus picking up the neighborhood kids — it’s my signal to get to work.

This card is from our August stamp camps.  Like many of you, I put this set immediately at the top of my wish list when I opened the new Stampin’ Up! catalog!  The Basic Gray panel on the left was originally going to be a sort of blackboard effect, but I could not get the look I wanted.  These letters are from the soon-to-be-unavailable Rough Type alphabet in the soon-to-be-expiring Summer Mini Catalog.  Yes, August 31 is the last day to order products from that mini!

And speaking of moving on to the Holiday Mini Catalog, tomorrow begins the Stampin’ Addicts Holiday Mini Blog Hop.  Enjoy three days of inspiration as you visit 22 blogs featuring 22 brand-new products.  The job, yard, and meals can wait — drop them all and hop along with us!  Just start here tomorrow morning (officially at noon EST) and you’ll loop through the entire hop.

Meanwhile, here are the details about the card today:

Stamps:  Greeting Card Kids (p. 36), Rough Type (Summer Mini)

Ink:  StazOn Jet Black, Riding Hood Red

Paper:  More Mustard, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red

Other:  Aqua Painter, assorted Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Stampin’ Write Markers, Big Shot and Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Twill Tape, 1/2″ Circle Punch (from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack), Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Linen Thread, Stampin’ Dimensionals

This makes me smile because when I saw this set in the catalog I said to Julie, this has Debra all over it!
