Convention M&T #2

Here’s another make & take from Convention, also using a set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I love the direct-to-rubber technique, but I wouldn’t want to make several dozen of these!

The pleated ribbon (you may hear it described as ruching, especially if you ever watched What Not to Wear) was a challenge for me.  If I had been in the privacy of my own home and not in the company of hundreds of other stampers, well maybe I could have achieved the look!  But mine is backwards, because I just couldn’t understand the technique.  So you can be sure, stampers, that you’ll be using ruching on a card before too long — but having the benefit of my experience!

Stamps:  Paisley Prints, Paisley Party (wheel), Just Believe

Ink:  Old Olive, Early Espresso, Peach Parfait, Stampin’ Write Markers (Cajun Craze, Old Olive)

Paper:  Old Olive, Whisper White

Other:  5/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Pumpkin Pie), Designer Button (Brights), Linen Thread, Stampin’ Dimensionals
