Tuesday Tip: Ink pad labels

How do you organize your ink pads?  Whether you store them in small, shallow drawers, as I do, or use Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Color Caddy, you may find that identifying the color isn’t so easy any more.  It used to be that the color name was on the front edge of the pad.  However, when Stampin’ Up! expanded internationally, having the color in English was insufficient.

Shortly after Stampin’ Up! released the details of the Color Renovation, an enterprising and generous fellow demo created a MS Word document for Avery 5160 (standard address) labels with all the color names.  Designed to be used with the Word Window Punch, these labels can be applied (as shown above) to the lower part of the pad front.

Please test this Ink Pad Labels document (located in the Resources page of this blog) on scrap paper to make sure it prints correctly; I had to change the top margin a bit.

Thanks! I actually have a handheld label machine that prints in 5 sizes and can do two lines of text. Works great till the batteries die!

Great tip. I need to get back into the swing of things.
