For a special mom-to-be

Finally — happily — I have a reason to create and send a Mother’s Day card!  This is for our lovely DIL, expecting our grandchild this fall.

The patterned panel on this card uses the blackboard technique.  We have done it in class and at Inkspiration events — check back on Tuesday for a tutorial for this technique.  I was inspired to use this set with this technique by someone’s card I didn’t save and now can’t find.  I’m pretty sure it was on last weekend’s Late Night Stampers’ Royal Blog Tour, but the posts have been removed.  This reminds me a lot of the retired Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper that matched the Tart & Tangy set.  Loved that!  (Did you know that it’s only $3.99 in the Clearance Rack??!!)
