Positively dotty

I was a little embarrassed to realize that three out of four camp projects in April used the Perfect Polka Dots Stampin’ Up! Textured Impressions folder.  In my defense, you’ll have to admit that it’s so easy to use and provides such great texture contrast.  But really, that’s enough.  Although there is a project in May….

This card celebrates gardening and gives a proper send-off to a retiring color:  Sage Shadow.  When we think about colors that may be showing their age, I only have to recall that my bathroom in the early 80s was decorated around this color.  I loved it then — I still like it — but I’m ready to move on.

I pulled out my Watercolor Pencils for this card.  I color with Watercolor Wonder Crayons all the time, but this image benefited from more saturated color.  Blending the colors a bit with the Blender Pen is just magic.

Heads up:  this set and the Impressions folder are only available through April 30, when the Occasions Mini Catalog ends.
