Ink therapy

Friday I was suffering from a bad case of the blues.  Tired, aching, grieving — it all added up to a day that was icky all around.  Usually housework is satisfying to me (and I had the extra challenge of getting the studio back in shape after a big week), but everything seemed like drudgery.  Really, I need a vacation!

We have had good times visiting Washington, DC, and I have been thinking about the cherry trees there.  I don’t know that this image is cherry blossoms, but it will do for me.  The repetitive stamping and coloring was very soothing for me.  (I stamped on a half sheet of card stock, so I have more of this patterned paper waiting in the wings.)  Being creative was a good end to the day.

I like this sketch.  Yes, it’s a lot like this card — easy to do and very versatile.  Try it!
