Glittery blue

Sometimes I design something that I fuss with and revise and tear apart and add to — argh!  And sometimes it’s right the first time, like this card!  I wanted to showcase the Heat & Stick Powder that I spoke of in this post, but with another color of glitter.  (Remember, when you have  glitter that you want applied to a stamped image — all over — H&S is the product to use.)  The Fine Cosmo glitter collection has a beautiful light blue, but I thought it would be too pale to use as the main element, so we stamped in Bashful Blue Craft ink for a good base, then continued with the H&S.  Click the image above to see the detail.

I’ve passed on this tip to you before about using Craft ink:  heating it not only dries it but also turns it somewhat chalky, resulting in images that really pop on dark card stock.
