Hoppin' towards Easter

I’m not trying to rush the seasons, I just want to give you the details on another of my projects from the recent Stampin’ Addicts blog hop!

This card is full of one of my favorite techniques:  VersaMark embossed in Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  In fact, my theme for camp this month is “Bling in the New Year,” and we use this technique.  I’ll share one of our projects — maybe two of them — later this week.

The ruched ribbon was rather simply done:  I handstitched down the length of ribbon (cut to about about 2½ times the width of the oval), pulled the threads, adjusted the gathers, and secured the ribbon ends behind the oval.  Then I ironed it to tame it a bit.

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs (p. 131), Chocolate Bunny (Occasions Mini, p. 43), Teeny Tiny Wishes (p. 145)

Ink:  VersaMark, Chocolate Chip

Paper:  Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White

Other:  Heat Tool and Stampin’ Emboss Powder (Iridescent Ice), Big Shot, SU! Backgrounds I Texturz Plate (Harlequin), Ovals die, 5/8″ Satin Ribbon (Certainly Celery), Small Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch, Circle Ice Rhinestone Brad (Lilac), Stampin’ Dimensionals
