Perfect for a last-minute gift!

This gift card holder is perfect for most of our Christmas giving!  Except for two grab bag gifts, everything we give is in plastic or check form.  Come to think of it, that’s true for the grands’ birthdays, too.  So I’m always on the lookout for gift card holders.

This one was designed by Dawn Griffith.  The base is 4¼” x 10¾”, scored at 2″ from one end and 4¼” from the other.  There is a pocket, inside the 4¼” x 4¼” panel, created with the Word Window Punch.  The closure is created from the stamped and matted piece — it is adhered to the holder front only on its bottom half, so that the top half can be used to hold down the 2″ flap.  Matting and embellishing is up to your imagination!

Oh, and try sponging (or brayering) on patterned paper to create a variation more suited to your project.  Here, we sponged Creamy Caramel on this fabulous flocked Christmas Cocoa paper to tone down the red and white, creating a more vintage look.
