Peonies

You think I’m talking about these peonies, don’t you?  Actually, I was thinking about the new 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog from Stampin’ Up! that arrived here yesterday.  When DH came home, he was greeted with a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign, and only because I had BBQ country ribs in the crock pot did we have supper!

This catalog is refreshing and sunny, lively and fun!  I know you will be thrilled with the samples — I am always amazed at the talent displayed.  If all the projects I ever made were copied from the catalog’s designs, I’d look incredibly gifted!

Some of you have already signed up for the hostess clubs beginning July 1; club members receive a free catalog, but all of you can have one of your own!  For just $6.00, you will get a wire-bound catalog that lays flat when you have it on your desk (typing up your wish list) and a totally useful double-sided pocket to hold the current mini and aforementioned wish list.  Use our Spiral Punch to add pages with tips and techniques or ideas to try.  Only catalogs which have been pre-ordered will be spiral bound.   I will need your pre-order commitment by June 20 to ensure adequate supply — the new catalog year begins July 1!

Are you posting your rib recipe?

Straight from my sister, Susan, after I had asked her two or three times: “There’s really no recipe. Put 2 pounds of boneless country ribs into the crock pot. Cover with a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. It won’t look like enough, but it is. Cook on high for 4 hours.”

Really, I would try this all day on low, because it’s more convenient for me. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be OK … someone try it and find out!
