Happy for you, dear

Stampin’ Up!’s Forest Friends set from the Occasions Mini Catalog is so perfect for baby cards.  Here is my “congrats” card from April’s stamp camps.

Cameo Coral is a color I love — on paper.  My skin coloring favors “winter” colors (remember season color analysis?), so I can’t wear yellows and oranges.  Except to bed.  That’s when I express my inner autumn.  I’m telling you this so when we have a slumber party stamp camp, you won’t be shocked.

The blossoms on the trees here were a last-minute change.  Last minute = after the card was all finished.  Very risky.  I inked up the “blood spatter” stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds and over-stamped the trees, then added white blossoms with the gel pen.  It was the balance the card needed.

Stamps:  Forest Friends, Nursery Necessities, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Ink:  Basic Brown, Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Stampin’ Write Markers (Certainly Celery, Old Olive)

Paper:  Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, Vellum card stock, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White

Other:  Big Shot and Ovals Die, Wonderful Watercolor Crayons and Aqua Painter, 1¾” Circle Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Signo Gel Pen, 5/8″ Satin Ribbon (Whisper White), Word Window Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals
