Thanks, friend!

More paper piecing of these adorable birds, this time on a thank you card for a friend who hosted several of us for pie and coffee after a concert last weekend.  If I had waited a bit to make this, I could have used my new Eyelet Border punch, set to arrive here this afternoon, but I wanted to get it finished.  This sketch came from somewhere (sorry!) and is easily adaptable to lots of stamps we have.  I love the combo of Pirouette Pink and Close to Cocoa — it always reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream, which we called “Van Choc Straw” growing up.  (Whenever I make a statement about how it was growing up, I usually hear from a sister or two who says, “I don’t remember that!”  Truly, did we grow up in the same household?)

Stamps:  Love You Much (the bundle deal on this expires Saturday!)

Ink:  Chocolate Chip

Paper:  Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, Candy Lane Designer Series Paper, Whisper White

Other:  Punches (Scallop Edge, Wide Oval, Word Window, 1/16″ Circle), Taffeta Ribbon (Chocolate Chip)

What a cute card! I hadn’t thought of trying the wide oval punch with those birds – and agree about the Neopolitan comparison.
